A small company rarely needs a full-time in-house lawyer, but legal questions come up every week: a new contract, a customer claim, a bank request, changes in the team. Looking for a specialist each time takes a long time, and every new lawyer starts from scratch.
A retainer solves this problem: we know your business, documents and counterparties and respond within agreed time frames. At the start we carry out a brief review of key documents to identify risks. After that we work under a monthly package with a fixed number of hours or tasks and a clear report on the work done.

What the lawyer does
Initial review
We review the charter, key contracts, HR documents and policies to compile a list of priority risks and a plan to address them.
Day-to-day consultations
We answer the team's questions via messenger, email or phone within agreed time frames, without agreeing the cost of each consultation separately.
Drafting and reviewing documents
Contracts, supplementary agreements, claims, replies to letters, internal orders and regulations — within the monthly package scope.
Support with checks and requests
We help respond to requests from banks, counterparties and government authorities, prepare explanations and documents, and attend meetings if needed.
Reporting on our work
Every month we provide a short report: which tasks were completed, how much time was spent and which issues need your decision.

Frequently asked questions
What if there are more tasks in a month than the package covers?
We warn you in advance when the volume approaches the limit. Additional hours are paid at an agreed rate or carried over to the next month — whichever we agree. If there are consistently more tasks, we suggest switching to another package. We do not do work beyond the scope without your approval.
Does the retainer include court representation?
Usually not: litigation requires a separate scope of work, so we price it separately. However, within the retainer we prepare claims and responses to them and propose pre-trial steps. If a case does go to court, you will work with a team that already knows the circumstances and the documents.
Can we try it for a short period first?
Yes. You can start with one or two months to see whether the format and scope suit you. The minimum term and termination procedure are set out in the agreement, so you know in advance how to end the cooperation if it is no longer needed.
