This policy explains what information about you the justera-law.com website receives, why it is needed, who it is shared with and how you can control it. We collect a minimum of data, do not use advertising or tracking cookies and do not share your data for advertising.
1. Who is responsible for your data
The personal data controller is the Justera law practice (hereinafter “Justera”, “we”).
Full name, legal form, registration details and address: [details to be added].
For any questions about your data, call us or message us in messengers at +380 96 310 34 34.
2. What data we receive
We receive only what is needed to respond to your enquiry, plus anonymous website visit statistics.
- Website request: your name, phone number or messenger contact, preferred contact method, subject and a short description of the situation — what you entered yourself — as well as the address of the page from which the request was sent.
- Messenger correspondence and phone calls: information you provide yourself when you write to or call us.
- Anonymous visit statistics: which pages were opened, which website or social network you came from (and utm link tags, if any), country and city (determined by the hosting provider from the IP address), device type, operating system and browser, how long the page was open and whether you scrolled it.
- To count unique visitors, an anonymised code (hash) is calculated from the IP address and browser data; it changes every week. We do not record the IP address itself, and this code cannot be used to identify you.
- Technical data: each time the website is accessed, the hosting provider Cloudflare processes the IP address, browser information and request time in order to deliver the page and protect the website from attacks and spam.
3. What not to write in the form
The form on the website is intended for arranging a consultation, not for setting out all the circumstances of your case. Please do not include document numbers, medical information, data about other people, details of criminal proceedings or other sensitive information.
It is enough to name the subject briefly — for example, “appealing a Territorial Recruitment Centre (TCC/ТЦК) fine” or “division of property”. The lawyer will clarify the details during the consultation in a way that is secure for you.
4. Legal professional privilege
Under Article 22 of the Law of Ukraine “On the Bar and Practice of Law”, legal professional privilege (advocate’s secrecy) covers, among other things, the very fact that you contacted an advocate, the questions you raised, the content of advice and consultations, and any documents and information received from you.
We treat your request and correspondence as information covered by legal professional privilege from the moment of first contact — even if a legal services agreement is not subsequently concluded.
5. Why and on what legal basis
We process data in accordance with the Law of Ukraine “On Personal Data Protection” and, for visitors from the European Union, also in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
- Responding to your request, holding a consultation, concluding and performing a legal services agreement — legal basis: steps taken at your request prior to entering into an agreement and performance of the agreement (Art. 11 of the Law “On Personal Data Protection”, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), as well as your consent, which you give by sending a request.
- Fulfilling obligations imposed on advocates by law — legal basis: legal requirements (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
- Anonymous statistics, website improvement, protection against spam and attacks — legal basis: our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can opt out of statistics in the cookie banner (“Opt out of statistics”) or by letting us know.
We do not make automated decisions about you, do not create profiles and do not use data for advertising.
6. Cookies and browser storage
The website does not set advertising or tracking cookies and does not use Google Analytics, social media pixels or similar counters. Visit statistics are kept without cookies. Your browser storage (localStorage and sessionStorage) holds only service flags:
- your choice in the cookie banner — so that we do not ask again;
- a flag showing that the intro animation has already been displayed — valid within the current tab and removed when it is closed;
- a “do not count this browser in statistics” flag — if you have opted out of statistics.
These flags contain no personal data and are not sent to us. You can delete them at any time in your browser settings or change your choice via “Cookie settings” at the bottom of the page. In some cases, the hosting provider Cloudflare may set a technical security cookie (for example, __cf_bm) to distinguish a human from a malicious bot. Such cookies are strictly necessary for the website to work.
7. Who we share data with
We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for advertising.
- Cloudflare, Inc. — website hosting, page delivery, processing of the request form and storage of anonymous statistics (Cloudflare D1 database). Cloudflare processes data on our behalf.
- Telegram — a request from the website is passed to the advocate via the Telegram Bot API as a message from the bot. The request contains the data you entered in the form.
- Telegram, WhatsApp and Viber — the messenger buttons on the website open these services’ apps. Correspondence in them is governed by the rules and privacy policies of the respective service, which we do not control.
- State authorities — only in the cases and in the manner expressly provided for by law, subject to the safeguards of legal professional privilege.
8. Transfer of data abroad
Cloudflare and Telegram may process data on servers outside Ukraine and the European Economic Area. These companies apply their own data protection measures and, for data from the EU, the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses or other mechanisms provided for by the GDPR. Transfers are carried out in compliance with Article 29 of the Law of Ukraine “On Personal Data Protection”.
9. How long we keep data
- Requests and correspondence — for as long as we are communicating at your request; if no agreement is concluded — no longer than 3 years after the last contact.
- Data of clients under a legal services agreement — for the term of the agreement and afterwards within the periods required to comply with legal requirements and protect the parties’ rights.
- Anonymous statistics — about 13 months, after which the records are deleted automatically.
10. Your rights
Under Article 8 of the Law of Ukraine “On Personal Data Protection” and, for visitors from the EU, also the GDPR, you may:
- find out what data we hold about you, why it is processed and who it is shared with, and obtain a copy of it;
- request the correction of inaccurate or outdated data;
- request the deletion of data or the restriction of its processing;
- withdraw your consent to data processing;
- object to processing based on legitimate interest, including statistics;
- receive your data in a convenient machine-readable format.
To exercise your rights, contact us at +380 96 310 34 34 — we will respond within 30 days. If we need the data to comply with legal requirements or to protect rights, we will explain why we cannot delete it immediately.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights or, if you are in the EU, with the data protection supervisory authority of your country, or to go to court.
11. Security
The website works only over a secure HTTPS connection. Only Justera advocates have access to requests. Access keys to the hosting and the bot are stored separately and are not shared with anyone. However, no method of transmitting data over the internet is completely secure, so please do not send sensitive information through the form (see section 3).
12. Children
The website is not intended for persons under 16. We do not knowingly collect their data. If a minor needs legal assistance, their parents or other legal representatives may contact us.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy, for example when new website features are introduced or legislation changes. The current version is always available on this page; the version date is shown below.
14. Contacts
Questions about the processing of personal data: +380 96 310 34 34 (call, Telegram, WhatsApp, Viber). The rules for using the website are set out in the Terms of Use.
